Wasabi offers S3-compatible “hot” cloud object storage at a fraction of the price of major hyperscale providers and without egress or request fees. It is used for backup, video, medical imaging, surveillance, and other high-volume workloads.
The company was founded in 2015 in Boston, Massachusetts, by David Friend (CEO) and Jeff Flowers (CTO), who previously co-founded Carbonite.
This 2020 Series B deck accompanies a $30M round led by Forestay Capital that funded international expansion into Singapore, Australia, and Canada.
