How To Build A Pitch Deck

A slide-by-slide framework for the early-stage pitch deck. The structure most successful seed decks follow.

There is no single correct pitch deck structure. There is, however, a sequence that works more often than not.

The 10-slide arc

  1. Insight — the non-obvious thing you believe.
  2. Problem — the specific friction you remove.
  3. Solution — a concrete, demoable description of the product.
  4. Market — size, structure, and why now.
  5. Traction — the evidence that you’re right.
  6. Business model — how you make money, in one sentence.
  7. Competition — the alternatives, framed honestly.
  8. Team — why you’re the right people.
  9. Ask — how much, at what valuation, deployed how.
  10. Vision — what becomes possible if this works.
